Top Things To Do This Easter

As Easter rolls around and most people enjoy a 4 day long weekend, Lynk have put together some of the happenings around Dublin for you and your family to enjoy!

Long weekends are typically busy and with the weather warming up, it’s sure to mean even more people out and about – pre-book your taxi early and let Lynk get you around this Easter!

Music Town

Taking Place All Weekend

Music Town is a 10 day music festival that will be coming to an end this Bank Holiday Monday. Whatever genre of music you are looking for, you will be able to find an event to suit your interest. Our must-watches include the likes of Mary Black, Chelsea Wolfe and the Dublin Choral Foundation.

The Story of the Capital

Saturday -10.00am – 5.15pm

Dublin City Hall, City Hall, Dame Street

This free event taking place in the basement of City Hall traces the history of Dublin through the use multimedia displays. Highlights will include getting a chance to see an original copy of the 1916 Proclamation as well as rare postcards sent by participants of the Easter Rising.

The Dead Zoo Tour

Saturday – 2.15pm & 3.30pm

National History Museum

If you have never visited the National History Museum, you have been missing out. The Dead Zoo Tour is just as fun for kids as it is the parents, and although the tour is free, spaces are limited so make sure you are there in good time to avoid being disappointed.

Beyond Caravaggio

Saturday & Sunday – timed entries from 9.15am – 4.40pm

National Gallery Of Ireland

This exhibition brings together over 40 major works by the famed painter which will show the ways in which a large number of artists adopted Caravaggio’s ideas and developed them to become masters in their own right. With less than a month left in this exhibition, we strongly recommend visiting this weekend, just remember to book your tickets beforehand!

Mad Hatters Tea Party

Sunday – 1.00pm – 5.00pm

Deer Park, Mount Merrion

On Sunday, Deer Park will be transformed into a scene from Alice in Wonderland with lots of kids activities including a tea cup ride, giant chess, croquet, a hat walk, balloons, an Easter egg Hunt and a host of surprises on the picnic tables! Bring the kids along to what promises to be a fantastic day out for all.

Park Run

Saturday – 9.30am

Fancy doing something a bit more active before the Easter Sunday chocolate feasts begin? Parkrun is a free, 5km run set in multiple locations around Dublin and has been getting stronger with each event since it was first introduced.
