Lynk’s Favourite Taxi Movie Scenes

Lynk’s Favourite Taxi Movie Scenes

Many a movie throughout history have had memorable taxi scenes featured in them, so we’ve compiled a list of a few of our favourites!

Check them out below to see if your picks have made the cut, have we missed any?

Total Recall – Johnny Cabs

Remade in recent years featuring Dublin’s very own Colin Farrell, though it’s hard to beat the original with the one and only Arnie. With self-driving cars becoming a hot topic in recent years, Total Recall was quite ahead of its time with Johnny Cabs, the back-talking, robot cabbie company!

Rush Hour 3 – The National Anthem

It may not be the best of the Rush Hour series, but one redeeming feature was this great scene featuring a rousing rendition of The Star-Spangled Banner.

The Fifth Element – Flying Cabs

One for Elon Musk to study while he attempts to add flying taxis to his business portfolio. Whether you’re a fan of the movie or not, it’s hard to argue that this car chase scene with a twist didn’t have you on the edge of your seat throughout!

On the Waterfront – I coulda been a contender

In one of cinema’s most famous speeches, Marlon Brando delivers another masterclass in his role as Terry, a promising young boxer who was convinced to throw a fight he could have won so his brother could win money betting against him.

Pulp Fiction – What does it feel like?

Bruce Willis’ second appearance on this list and another scene involving a boxer in the back of a cab! Willis’ character, Butch is a pro boxer on his way out of the game, who like Terry from the previous scene, was offered money to throw a fight. Butch however took a much different option.

Taxi Driver – Martin Scorsese’s cameo

You didn’t think we were going to leave out the most famous taxi man in history? This classic movie was made even better with this fantastic cameo by the movie’s own director, Mr Scorsese.
