Dún Laoghaire Christmas Festival
Every weekend until Sunday 23rd December
Christmas has come early to Dún Laoghaire! With Christmas lights, a ferris wheel, a funfair, Santa’s Post Box, a Christmas market and more, this festival is a great day out for the whole family and runs from 11.00am to 7.00pm. Not only will you be able to feast on some traditional Christmas food and drink from around the world, you might even pick up a few presents for your loved ones with plenty of hand-crafted gifts on show.

Wild Lights at Dublin Zoo
1st November – 6th January
Now in its sophomore year, Wild Lights is inspired by the wildlife it is surrounded by. This light-show will include awe-inspiring displays of lions, orangutans, tigers, monkeys and more. Other highlights will include Chinese performers, craft markets and of course, a smorgasbord of Chinese food and warm drinks. This unique display of Chinese culture was warmly received last year. We look forward to seeing them improve on their great success!

Dundrum on Ice
26th October – 13th January
If you’re not one of those lucky ones who are going away at Christmas, to get their yearly dose of skiing and skating in, pop down to Dundrum Town Centre to their exceptional skating rink! Whether you are just starting out with ice skating, or are a seasoned pro, Dundrum On Ice offers a high quality seasonal ice skating experience. Once done, you can pop into one of the fantastic restaurants that are just a stone’s throw away.
The Gaiety Panto – Snow Queen
25th November to 20th January
Is there anything more Christmassy than The Panto? (Oh no there isn’t!!) No matter which show or theatre you choose, bring the family along and enjoy this age old tradition to the fullest by joining in with the always entertaining audiences. We have been especially impressed by the reviews the Snow Queen in The Gaiety has been receiving. Be sure to check this one out. He’s behind you!
Dublin Flea Christmas Market
6-9th & 13th-16th December
Due to popular demand, the Dublin Christmas Flea Market will now be held over TWO weekends, giving you another opportunity to pick up some last-minute gifts you may have forgot to buy! The Market hosts 100% creative Irish start-up and small business enterprise selling an incredible selection of art, contemporary design, handmade craft, retro, vintage and antique collectibles and delicious and healthy artisan food products.

Heineken Champions Cup – Leinster vs Bath
15th December
Grab your hats and scarves and get yourself to the Aviva Stadium for this heavyweight clash between two of Europe’s finest clubs. Ireland has gone rugby-mad in the last few weeks, after the national team’s epic win over the All-Blacks, so let’s hope the same atmosphere will be on offer during this important Heineken Champions Cup match!
